Feel That Sound - a Wearable Audio Device for Gamers & Music Lovers
If you're an audiophile, you're not compromising on sound quality. Other people may be wondering why the hell you're spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on equipment - Sound system or headphones (I'm crazy about headphones and I'm always lurking Massdrop for some good stuff).
This article is NOT just for audiophiles, I saw a cool product (I have NO affiliation with it) and I thought it's cool enough to write about.
Woojer - Feel the Sound
Woojer is a wearable audio product that provides a unique and innovative audio experience. With Woojer you can literally feel the music - You wear a strap or a vest that translates the audio waves to physical feelings on your body.
The tech behind this product is called Haptic Technology. Sound is translated to vibrations, you can think of something similar to the vibration of a PS2 controller.
It's especially good when your playing games with your phone or tablet using headphones, you're only experiencing 2d audio. With Woojer you'll feel like there are very strong speakers, you can feel it when people are walking near you, or when getting shot.
It's very easy to use, you plug the Woojer into your phone and then your headphones into a output on the Woojer device.
What People Are Thinking About it
In theory this product sounds amazing, I tried to do some research and find out what how customers feel about this product. Well I can't really come to a conclusion, some say it really feels real and the sensations are really good and make you feel like your completely in another world. Other people are saying that it's not much really, and it's just vibrates a bit and doesn't really worth the investment.
To be honest I could care less about what people are thinking about it. What excites me is the near future, this product says and hints about the feature.
Even if the Woojer is a crappy product I'm positive that it won't be tool long before a really good product will enter the market and change the gaming world.
Maybe we'll need to wear something similar to a diving suit that has millions of sensors and vibrator thingies? I'm totally fine with it as long as it delivers the REAL thing.
What do you think? let me know in the comments.
